WELCOME TO SHOUT!!!
SHOUT! is an acronym for the Safe Haven youth group. SHOUT means: S-Serving Him,
O-Outloud, U-Unashamed, T-Together. It is our desire to see teens won to Christ and see them learn how to serve Him both individually and together!
SHOUT meets weekly on Friday from 7pm-9pm. We engage in a variety of fun, challenging and exciting activities. We run from September to June on a weekly basis and then have special events over the summer months. The youth group also offers a coffee house/jam session the last Friday of each month called SHOUT!! in the HOUSE! This is a fun time of food, music, games and a challenge from the Bible! We strive to be a safe place where everyone feels welcome and at home.
Here at SHOUT we ask our teens to be respectful in four areas: 1) Respect God. That means no swears at all, even in texting form and no mocking of the Christian faith. 2) Respect the leaders. The leaders are here to help, keep the teens safe and ensure they learn and grow. 3) Respect each other. We live in a world where bullying (both cyber and physical) is a serious reality, so we ask our teens to treat each other well. That includes trying to live well outside of youth group. 4) Respect the property we have events in/on. We are responsible for our behaviour and the results of that behaviour, so be in control and be aware of where we are and who we represent, especially with off-campus activities. We have a code of conduct booklet that is available for each teen and their parent(s)/guardian(s).
We belive that by respecting these four areas, our teens become respectful young people. We have a great group of teens here at SHOUT!
Please check our calendar for upcoming events! Feel free to call the church and ask for Pastor Mike if you have any questions.
