Adam and Eve had many children. These children grew up and married and had children. Adam lived to nine hundred thirty years old. When Adam died, he had a great many children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There were very many people on the earth. They lived in cities and in towns and in the country.

Adam and Eve were happy in the Garden.  There were beautiful flowers.  There were all kinds of fruit, very good to eat. “The fruit that grows in the Garden is yours to eat,” God told Adam.  “But there is one tree of which you must NOT eat.  That is the Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil.  It grows in the middle of the Garden.  If you eat the fruit off of that tree, you will die.”

Noah and his sons worked for a long, long time on the ark. The one hundred and twenty years went by. Then the ark was finished. It was a very big boat. It had a roof. There were rooms in it. There was a door and there was a window. But the boat stood on dry land. Then one day God came down and spoke to Noah again. God said, " In seven days the rain will begin to fall. You must get everything ready now."
